War protester goes in-game

Terra Nova profiles a Joseph DeLappe who logs into the game, "America's Army" and does nothing but read off names of those fallen in Iraq. His character gets verbally abused and killed but he keeps going. Click his name to see what he does.

Given my recent post on the military using games to attract recruits, I found this post particularly meaningful. I don't know who Joseph DeLappe is, beyond this story, but he gives me hope. If a blog can give an individual a standing ovation, Branded Newb is doing so now.

[Edit: Reread this a few times and realized that labeling him as a war protester in my title was assumptive of me. Perhaps a better title is "Soldier advocate goes in-game"]
