Your word of the day: Missue

Missue (m'shoo) n. - A point or matter of discussion, debate or dispute that is used to deflect attention away from another more legitimate point.

"Look, the immigration thing is a missue, the Republicans don't really care as long as we're not talking about the war or the President."

"Jenkins, stop apologizing, I'm ignoring the tardiness missue. The meeting is about to start, where are your pants?"

[Edit: Someone I know who is really smart... didn't get it. So I guess I should be less vague for the sake of getting my point across. The word is derivative of combining the term: "missing the issue". Get it? LOL, I kill me.]
